Many of you have expressed your concern for Sharon and Peter and their safety, in light of recent events here in the States.
I can tell you that I spoke with them a week ago tonight. They were checking their emails to make sure all of their friends and loved ones back here were safe. They were also checking US Government travel web sites for any travel warnings and precautions. In addition, they called the US Embassy in India and spoke with representatives there.
The government had nothing more than the usual travel warnings; The embassy gave them the green light; and almost all of their friends in New York had contacted them through email to say they were OK.
Based on this information, they headed off on a 9 day trek through some beautiful hills in an area that had been declared safe by US Government officials. Hence, none of us have heard from them.
Based on their description, they planed to come out of the woods this Saturday or Sunday and we should all heear from them. If I hear anything from them in the interim, I will post another note to indicate so.
